So far I've only used the small dia. dovetail jaws on one single-item project. I had to tighten it very tight to make the chuck hold tightly enough to make my chisels produce wood shavings. I really don't know what to expect since I'm new to woodturning. The chuck got the job done. I'll use it more when my shop thaws out. It's too cold right now. The packaging box with crushable foam looks nice but all of the parts of the chuck set were jumbled all around inside the box. For shelf storage this box is fine, but for shipping it is totally inadequate. Luckily all of the parts are made of steel so nothing really got damaged. I plan on making a sturdy wooden case to keep the set organized. I'm happy with my purchase so far.
